Phlebotomy Training Specialists
Phlebotomy Training Specialists provides an affordable but comprehensive series of phlebotomy classes that meet California education requirements and help students gain the skills and knowledge needed to become a certified phlebotomist.
The tuition for the class is $2595, which includes the national exam fee of $130 and insurance of $25. Classes are offered in three different formats: National AM (Monday-Thursday for 3 weeks, 9am-1pm), National PM (Monday-Thursday for 3 weeks, 6pm-10pm) and National WKD (Saturdays for 5 weeks, 8am-4:30pm).
The course includes 40 hours of didactic in-class training, the national exam upon completion, a 40-hour externship once the exam results come back, and finally submitting paperwork to receive certification. There are certain prerequisites such as being 18 years or older and having a high school diploma/equivalent. PTS will help students find an externship placement which can take anywhere between three weeks to three months depending on location. Upon completion of the externship, students will have two years to submit certification documents to the state and get their CPT 1 license.

CALRegional’s Phlebotomy Technician Program provides students with the necessary skills and training to become an entry-level phlebotomist in as little as three weeks. The program is authorized by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and holds classes in person, consisting of 50% lectures and 50% laboratory work.
